The Bible (Old and New Testament) is God’s written word in and through which He uniquely reveals and applies His loving rescue plan for humanity and all creation. God mysteriously and authoritatively speaks to us through these writings (or scriptures) by the power of His Spirit. Through the Bible He draws people to repentance and faith in Christ and instructs and matures the church. As such it is the Bible that is the primary authority concerning all matters of Christian faith and practice.
